What makes it special

Matthew and Haley began making tallow soap in 2022 in a Los Angeles apartment, using one 12-quart stock pot. The soap is now made in house in Florida at over 150 lbs a day.

• i’m actually excited to do laundry now i only wear natural fibers and so it only makes sense to wash them with natural laundry detergent i’ve never seen one this clean before and always trust the legends at health y sol to come up with some fire oh yeah and the packaging is so crisp too

• A year ago we had a naive but brilliant idea: Let's make tallow laundry soap. We didn't think of how difficult it would be. The truth is, all of our products up to this point had little strategy behind them. It didn't take long to test and come to an effective result. Laundry detergent was a different animal. In manufacturing it and in testing it. We realized we were dealing with something above our expertise AFTER we had made hundreds of pounds of tallow and coconut soap. Months of making and curing soap, months of halted progress, dozens of iterations with adjusted recipes, and finally, a sprint to produce only 200 boxes ready to go today. What a pain in the butt. This first run will come at a loss. It was a learning lesson we are happy to have taken. We are even happier with the results. Boosted with salts and enzymes, effective and natural, safe for baby clothes and workout gear, lifts stains and odors, blood and sweat. Sol Suds is now available.
